We said Kielder Forest is mighty and we mean it: this is the biggest man-made woodland in England and covers square miles which = Acres. Roe deer roam here, alongside red .   Kielder water and Forest is stunning, and such a lovely place for wildlife. We saw nesting house martins at the Waterside, watched the live feed of the nesting Ospreys, saw many birds and a red squirrel! It was awesome! Beautu=iful woodland and lakeside walks, the dog was really happy and it was a splendid place.1/5().

Kielder is also home to some rare and endangered species of wildlife and numerous birds don’t be surprised to see Osprey, Roe deer, or red squirrels. Kielder boasts some of the darkest night skies in Britain so if you want to do some stargazing away from your hot tub why not map out the constellations at the Kielder Observatory. Kielder is a small, remote village in western Northumberland, d at the head of Kielder Water and in the north west of Kielder Forest, the village is 3 miles (5 km) from the Scottish nial county: Northumberland.

Kielder Forest is a large forestry plantation in Northumberland, England, surrounding Kielder village and the Kielder Water reservoir. It is the largest man-made woodland in England with three-quarters of its square miles ( km 2) covered by forest.

The majority of the forest lies within the Border Forest Park, with the southern tip known as Wark Forest lying within Northumberland Coordinates: 55°12′29″N 2°31′41″W / °N.
